| mondo
/adverb In young people's slang, originally in the US: utterly, ultimately, extremely. Formed by interpreting the (originally Italian) word mondo 'world' as an adverb, in attributive uses of phases such as mondo bizarro. The word mondo has been now absorbed into VALSPEAK since the early eighties and has become a simple intensifier, similar to serious - and likewise also sometimes used as an adjective. |
Mondo Images was formed in 1997 to offer fast, reliable and innovative design for any situation.

Painting
"Trekwest - the Desert in Bloom" by Lystra
Bisschop
This Aboriginal dot painting tells the story of the Brisbane to Broome adventure
convoy. The seven symbols in the middle represent the meeting place of the 7
cars. We voyaged together and camped along many desert tracks.
The white dots is the route we travelled from Brisbane, up to Katherine, then
to Broome and back through the desert past The Bungle Bungles, Ulura and Kata
Tjuta and back to Brisbane.
Broome and Cape Leveque which are consist of great red cliffs that meet the
silicon white sands are represented in the top left corner. What I call the
"The Gorge country" are the many gorges from Katherine to Broome which
is the design along the top of the painting. Throughout this trip we saw the
desert in what I think is in it's most awesome state - the wildflowers in full
bloom in the arid Australian desert and this is a significant theme in this
dot painting. Wildflowers are scattered throughout this painting. This whole
painting is completly covered in dots. The closer you get, you see it's intricate
designs. This painting captures a great trip in a great country!
